As the requirements of Hong Kong Convention and Guidelines involve flag States, recycling States, ship-building industry, ship-repairing industry, shipping industry, ship-recycling industry and material/equipment suppliers (hereinafter referred to as “the stakeholders”) as well as calculation, evaluation and recording of over one thousand products containing hazardous materials, China Classification Society has developed and maintained a software for the hazardous materials inventory, GREEN CHAIN (meaning "the green supply chain"). This software provides a uniform and simplified means for the stakeholders to record MD/SDoC data and produce the Inventory accordingly. It is an information platform that develops and produces IHM list. The stakeholders are responsible for data authenticity and validity, and CCS is not responsible for any resulting legal and economic liability.
